What is Colon Hydrotherapy?

Colon Hydrotherapy is the irrigation of the colon with purified water in order to evacuate the contents of the lower bowel.

Ancient Egyptian history reveals the practice of colon hydrotherapy was used in the simplest form (enemas) for internal cleansing. This was noted in “The Ebers Papyrus” which was written during the 14th Century B.C.  Primal methods of colon irrigation were used.

Today, the colonic devices used are modern, and methods of device sterilization are at its best.  Heartland Colon Care, LLC uses “The Angel of Water” exclusively as its device for colon cleansing.  The Angel is a Class II FDA approved device for which the pressure, temperature (98-102 degrees), and flow of water (1 psi) are regulated throughout the procedure.

“My true belief is that colon hydrotherapy is the perfect cleansing medium for preparing the patient for a colonoscopy.  It's a much better way of getting the human colon ready for an operation than having a patient swallow a gallon of that pre-surgery solution known as 'Colon-Go-Lytely.'  Instead, colon hydrotherapy allows the patient to avoid this solutions' noxious side effects of vomiting diarrhea abdominal cramping and other trouble.”

“After conducting a comprehensive digestive stool analysis on any patient suspected of having dysbiosis (poor intestinal hygiene), I attempt to clean the bowel clean by prescribing colon hydrotherapy once a week three times.  Also I use colon hydrotherapy as part of an overall detoxification program.  It is an excellent detoxifier for overindulgence of alcohol drinking and drug addictions of all kinds.  It takes away any desire to use drugs or imbibe alcoholic beverages.  Colon hydrotherapy should be part of nearly any addict’s therapeutic regimen.”
